Front Rangers provides activities for the various cycling disciplines (Road, Mountain, Track, Cyclocross & Indoor Training) throughout the year. The activities are optional and in season, but we encourage all to participate.

To address the wide range of abilities in Juniors Cycling, the Front Rangers supports tiers or ability levels  --  Yellow,  White  &  Blue  --  distinguished by:

  • Personal Drive and Desire.

  • Level of Commitment.

  • Age and Individual Ability.

We have activities listed as Yellow, White, Blue as well as the Yellow, White, Blue teams.  In general, the colors are a broad categorization of ability.  More on that later.

The Colors Program

How It Works
Look at these girls go. On the Lookout M

Front Rangers color teams are tiers categorized by ability, commitment, and desire:

  • Yellow – Beginner / Casual / Recreational – Everyone.

  • White – Intermediate – Apply with a Coach.

  • Blue – Advanced – by Invitation.

The White and Blue tiers are individualized.  They do, however, include added activity based on the focus.  All Front Rangers are invited to participate in the Yellow or "Everyone" activities."

These tiers are NOT intended to be divisive.  Rather, they form a progression for youth to be recognized, to improve, to develop, and to lead.  Some activities integrate all the tiers, others focus on particular levels to challenge the youth at their level. The White and Blue activities are more intense so we encourage riders to choose participation based on their ability.

Coaches and ride leaders will tailor activities for each individual to grow and improve in their desired way.  We need to know, however, what is desired – so please ask.
